What is QtEmu?

QtEmu is a graphical tool that manages virtual machines using QEMU and KVM. It is written in Qt4, and integrates well into the KDE desktop.

It has the ability to run any operating system on your computer without the need for rebooting or even disturbing the operating system you already have installed. This allows you to easily test a new operating system or try a Live CD on your system without any danger to your computer.

QtEmu is currently being updated, and version 2.0 will soon be released. This version is a major revamp and adds many features -- just look at the screenshots! There is also a post on my (Ben) blog that discusses many of the new features QtEmu will sport, including an embedded machine viewer and a much more complete settings system. We are currently testing and fixing bugs that may be in QtEmu - if you can, download and install the most recent version from sourceforge!


QtEmu 1.x is the stable version of QtEmu and has been tested on Linux, FreeBSD and Windows (2k, XP) and is available in the following languages:
